Black Adam producer confirms Violent DC movie rating

Jungle cruise finally released in theaters today and the film’s press tour featured many exciting bonuses on another film: Black adam. Not only does Dwayne Johnson star in both films, they are also both directed by director Jaume Collet-Serra. Hiram Garcia, who is president of production at Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, is a producer on most of the star’s projects, which means he’s also shared some thoughts on Black adam speaking of Jungle cruise. In a recent conversation with Collider, Garcia promised that Black adamThe PG-13 rating does not mean that there will be no violence.

“It will be PG-13, but that’s not because we have to be PG-13. The way we designed the movie, it just didn’t have to be R, and it is something we discussed because we wanted to be true to the character. The truth is we felt that we were properly able to represent the advantage and power of Black Adam without needing to go to an R rating. This movie can thrive in a PG-13 space and that’s great for us because we want to introduce Back Adam to as many people as possible, ”Garcia explained.“ No one ever felt like it. The black Knight was too soft. It was probably one of the toughest PG-13s you’ve ever seen. This is how we approached our PG-13, and this ranking in no way limited our number of victims! “

In another recent interview with Variety, Garcia has spoken of seeing Johnson in his Black Adam costume for the first time.

“There are times, you know my friend, as a filmmaker where you say to yourself, ‘I’ll never forget that. “When he walked out in that costume, it was… Oh, 100%. It was a baby, one of our special babies. Not only was I there, but I also made sure I captured that moment. in front of the camera to make sure we never forget it, ”Garcia explained. “You’re going to be blown away when you see him. He’s a walking superhero. He’s been preparing for this role for over ten years, so seeing him come to life in front of you. It was magical, man.”
