Don’t Look Up (2021). Leonardo DiCaprio on Netflix. movie reviews

Don’t look up is a Netflix comedy film written and directed by Adam McKay. Featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence and other stars like Meryl Streep.

This is Netflix’s big bet for this Christmas.

Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), a graduate student in astronomy, and her professor, Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio), make the startling discovery of a comet orbiting the solar system. The problem – it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? Nobody really seems to care. It turns out warning humanity of a planet-killer the size of Mount Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate. With the help of Dr. Oglethorpe (Rob Morgan), Kate and Randall embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and his sycophant son and chief of staff, Jason (Jonah Hill ), on The Daily Rip, a lively morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). With just six months until the comet makes an impact, managing the 24-hour news cycle and catching the attention of social media-obsessed audiences before it’s too late proves surprisingly comical – that will it take for the world to look up?
