“Don’t worry honey” is “Get out” for white people

In the latest edition of Honest Movie Reviews, we round up the funniest ratings movie reviews on the internet. From laughable to tongue-in-cheek, truthful to downright silly, we delve into the deep, dark burrow of online movie fandom. Today we turn our attention to don’t worry darling.

As if the premise of don’t worry darling wasn’t dramatic enough (a 1950s housewife suspects her picture-perfect desert community isn’t as idyllic as it seems and tries to escape its grasp), the cast of the psychological thriller generated enough off-screen drama to make a whole different movie.

This drama included: Shia LaBeouf’s departure from the male lead, who was usurped by Harry Styles, who then continued to date Olivia Wilde, who said she fired LaBeouf in order to protect female lead star Florence Pugh, who has since insinuated she needs no defense.

All the gossip surrounding the film came to a head at the Venice Film Festival, where actors converged to premiere the film. In perhaps the most bizarre development yet, a now-viral video appears to show Styles spitting on co-star Chris Pine.

Unfortunately for moviegoers, the actual movie is less entertaining than the actual drama that surrounds it. In fact, might as well watch this spitting video on repeat, because it’ll be less of a waste of time.

Naturally, platform users Letterboxd.com something to say about the movie. Without further ado, here are the best honest movie reviews for don’t worry darling.
