Jérôme Salle, the director of the French film Largo Winch, commented on the film Sahoo and his comments went viral on social media.
The film Largo Winch released in 2008 was not well received by the public when it was released. However, around the time of the release of the film Agnathavasi, it suddenly became popular in India after allegations that the Trivikram film was processed by Largo Winch. Jérôme Salle director tweeted about the film Agnathavasi and was about to proceed legally, but the behind-the-screen settlement avoided legal problems for the Agnathavasi team.
Now Sahoo movie is on the same line as well and someone has taken that into account. He tweeted on Sahoo’s release day that he appears to have a promising career in India. Today he tweeted again about this saying: “It looks like this second Largo Winch ‘freemake’ is just as bad as the first. So please Telugu directors, if you steal my work, do it. at least correctly?. And as my tweet “Indian career” was of course ironic, I’m sorry but I won’t be able to help you. “His tweets went viral on social media as he put it, the creators de Sahoo couldn’t even copy his work properly. These kinds of plagiarism allegations seriously affect the reputation of Telugu cinema. Creators should at least be careful when making these kinds of extravagant, big-budget films.
We’ll have to wait and see if the makers of Sahoo respond to Jérôme Salle’s comments.
