Every life is a manual. Lessons learned from life’s experiences and trials are passed on to future generations. When it is the life of celebrities, then its relevance and importance increases. Here the life of Savitri, the first superstar among South Indian actresses, blossoms. Many titles suit her as the star actress of the 50s and 60s, a talented director, and a personality to be marked in the history of cinema.
Many dramatic moments have passed in a girl’s life, from losing her father when she was just 6 months old, to becoming a superstar later and eventually ending up in bed in bed. hospital unknown and ignored by all. Nag Ashwin focuses his camera on this life. We’ve also seen many such stars on the big screen.
From a Malayali’s perspective, Keerthy Suresh who played Savitri in this film, became a talented actress by smoothly embodying the celebrity life of a person who was the life partner of romantic hero Gemini Ganesan and who s then collapsed both physically and financially. Keerthy did the role justice by staying close to Savitri’s life thanks to his on-screen presence and excellent performances.
Dulquer Salmaan played the role of Gemini Ganesan with the utmost perfection. However, since it is about the life of Savitri, there is not much reference to the life of Gemini Ganesan. So we have to wait and see if the audience is happy with the movie. Old-time stars like Sivaji Ganesan and NT Rama Rao appear in the film in conversations and in newspaper clippings, but there was no trace of MGR, which was an apparent downside.

The character is played by Samantha Akkineni. She draws inspiration from Savitri’s life to make important decisions in her own life. The length of the film could have been reduced because the second part after the interval is late. The film set was also lacking in originality.
The film was produced by Ashwin Dutt, Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. Siddharth Sivasamy prepared the script and Danny Lopez took care of the cinematography. Mickey J Meyer composed the music. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor.
