Miller makes his magical comeback with ‘Three Thousand Years’ | movie reviews

Some of the best movie directors in history are workhorses who constantly launch projects and deliver hit after hit with only a year or two between projects. Between 1940 and 1960, Hitchcock made 25 feature films, about half of which are considered among the best thrillers ever made.

Then you have directors like Stanley Kubrick and David Lean, who focus on one project for as long as it takes while three, five, or even more than 10 years go by without releasing a movie. And yet, when the movies were released, they were inevitably financial hits and critical darlings in awards season.
